Tips to increase your turnover

Offer explicit guarantees

Add a guarantee to your product. This can increase your sales and customer base by 30 – 40%. Try this out on your website.
Example: try this all in one gym for a month if it doesn’t improve your fitness you get your money back.

Referall Strategy

People recommending the product/ service. Create a system for referrals. Most companies use word of mouth to get their product /service out there. Think of incentives for people – vouchers, special offers
Or
Ask for a referral. When you have worked with the customer, if they are pleased ask them to recommend you to 3 people.

Not getting a sale to get a sale

Getting a sale to get a relationship with the customer.
Be willing to make less money on the initial sale because it will increase customers, which in turn will mean more money.

Relentlessly focus on the benefits of your product or service

On most companies flyers, poster and website all it talks about is them – how many people are in the business, how it started, etc. (WHO CARES?)
Focus on what is in it for the customer. The benefits for them- what the customer wants. Check your website – does it tell the customer your benefits?

Capture more e-mail addresses

Having a website is the easiest way to do this one. As soon as someone logs on get them to write in their email address.

Pick up the telephone

When you get peoples e-mail addresses get telephone number as well. This is very low cost but a very effective way of building relationships.

Test direct mail

This really works. It is a great way to get new customers.

Don’t hide from your customers objections

These have a big impact on some companies. Don’t be scared of them work with them use them to be a positive. For every 100 people a number will not be interested, will have objectives – too expensive, not got time etc. Put these things on your website with solutions.

Re-activate past leads

A lead comes with interest but doesn’t buy into you. Keep in contact, you never know maybe down the line they will be interested.

Give free stuff in advance

If you can start out by giving out something free then people will come back – build relationships. Try give free info or something physical.

Enticing offers – bundling etc

Encourage new customers to take the step.
Example: if you buy product A I will give you products B and C for free. This can make a big difference in sales.

Put your phone number throughout your website

This will increase sales and encourage physical contact.

Offer a risk free trial

Try before you buy will double sales.

Set a target

You know you want more customers but set your self a target for exactly what you want. We tend to focus more if we have something to work towards. Most businesses tend to under estimate what their target could be – Go for 100% whether is takes 1 month, 6 months, 1 year or 18 months if you have achieved it that’s all that matters.
