Dust Control Environmental (DCE)

Dust Control Environmental (DCE) approached WAM looking for help to provide marketing material to promote new products and services to their national market, and to develop their European customer base further to take the company to the next level.

Initially, we sat down with DCE to determine how they interacted with existing customers, and what strategy they used to generate leads from potential new customers. It became apparent that their existing marketing material didn’t really showcase the company to it’s full potential and was missing the target.

We focused our attention to producing a brochure that highlighted the benefits of using DCE products, instead of just the technical product information. The new design was clean, clear and professional, with a strong branded appearance. We created the strapline ‘Clean Air Solutions’ and adopted an image of a young, carefree girl skipping through a poppy field in Europe, holding three red balloons to simulate the three circles in the DCE logo.

The new brochures were a breath of fresh air and were translated into different languages for the new European markets. DCE suddenly found they had a huge upturn in new business from existing customers, as well as enquiries from abroad.

Phase 2 of the project was to produce a new website inline with the brochures. However, we were finding it increasingly difficult to get hold of the DCE directors, who were either in back to back meetings or out on business. Eventually, we managed to contact them and they explained that, due to the success of the brochures, the increase in new business had meant that they were so busy they were unable to find time to work on the new website content. We quickly uploaded a holding page as a stopgap.

The good news is, DCE did eventually find time to discuss the website and we created a site that replicated the new brand. The site and brochure now account for a huge percentage of new business and sales, and we are very proud of what we achieved working together. By simply looking at things from a different angle, we were able to focus on the major benefits to the end-user and in turn exceed all expectations.

Recently, WAM have worked with DCE to produce the marketing material for two new product launches and created exhibition graphics for a trade show in Germany. They now supply products on all continents.
